The curriculum enables the student to learn to integrate the various functions required to operate healthcare facilities. Positions are available in doctors’ offices, clinics, and hospitals. Additional employment opportunities can be found with insurance claims processors, medical laboratories, home healthcare agencies, health departments, manufacturers of medical supplies, and hospital equipment purveyors. Hot specializations include coding and billing, electronic records, regulatory compliance, and bookkeeping.
